Officials from the National Seismic Monitoring Centre in Islamabad say that an earthquake hit parts of Karachi late Monday night.
People in Shah Latif, Landhi, Muzaffarabad Colony, Muslimabad Colony, and various spots in Karachi felt the earthquake.
People were scared and ran out of their homes.
Earthquake in Karachi
Near Quaidabad, Karachi, a quake with a magnitude of 3.1 on the Richter scale happened 15 kilometers below the surface.
No damage or injuries have been reported from the earthquake.

Additionally, a quake reaching 4.1 on the Richter scale shook Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province’s Swat and nearby areas late Sunday night.
There were no reports of loss of life or property in any part of Swat at the same time.
According to the National Seismic Monitoring Centre in Islamabad, the 110-kilometer-deep Hindu Kush Mountains range area was where the earthquake’s centre was.
