No matter what happens, the Pakistan Army has been devotedly engaged in protecting the homeland inside and on borders. Apparently, the world knows that the previous ruling elites only had corrupt intentions towards Pakistan, not PTI. To further clear the air, DG ISPR Asif Ghafoor claimed that the Pakistan Army has nothing to do with the country politics.

Since the Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI) won the elections, the opposing political alliances have been trying to defame the incumbent government. However, Director General Inter-Services Public Relations (DG ISPR) Asif Ghafoor is widely famous for his blunt and straight forward attitude. Recently, during a media talk, DG ISPR cleared that the Pakistan Army holds no involvement in country politics, in any possible way.

Particularly, being the spokesperson of the elite institution, Ghafoor inherits a humorous mind which is often seen in his responses. Earlier this week, on Wednesday, DG ISPR had a talking session with a local news publishing company. Upon being asked about the army’s ‘rumored’ interference in politics, he said, “The work that we (Pakistan Army) are involved in does not allow us to become part of any political activity.”
JUI-F leader and his “Azadi Marchers!”
Currently, Jamiat Ulema e Islam (JUI F)’s Maulana Fazal ur Rehman is busy in an anti-government sit-in protest. While the government is positively tackling the “Azadi Marchers”, Asif Ghafoor also made a comment on it. He stated, “Sit-in is a political activity and the armed forces of Pakistan had no role in it.”

Further, to stay far from the controversial aspect, Asif Ghafoor took a sensible approach regarding the Pakistan Army. He maintained, “I do not speak for myself during media interactions but I represent my institution.” Talking about the Kashmir dispute, DG ISPR showed his concerns over Indian forces’ brutal treatment towards innocent and unarmed Kashmiris.
“We are busy in national security!”
DG ISPR further ensured that the PTI government and Pakistan Army won’t let their efforts for Kashmir’s freedom go in vain. “We are busy in national security and the army will not compromise on the Kashmir issue at any cost”, he added. Honestly, the sheer efforts of the Pakistan Armed Forces to protect Pakistan deserves every ounce of respect.

Recalling PTI’s “Tsunami March” from 2014, DG ISPR revealed that the military had supported the protestors back then also. “The military supported the sit-in in 2014 as well”, he reiterated. Depending on the circumstances, the Pakistan Army always defended Pakistan no matter physically or virtually.
Well, the world knows that naive India won’t stop pulling off its filthy strings against Pakistan anytime soon. However, DG ISPR stays ever ready to humiliate India and the with he shows is exceptional. Moreover, Asif Ghafoor said that the institution is completely hooked on the “Azadi March” in the Capital these days.
