In the wake of Aamir Liaquat’s third marriage announcement, his second wife Syeda Tuba Anwar barely got any support since the public already blamed her for the breakup of his first marriage — she continues to receive criticism rather than consolation.
The news of Liaquat’s third marriage came less than 24 hours after Tuba announced her divorce from him. After months of speculations, the actor confirmed she has filed for divorce from Liaquat.
Citing ‘no hope for reconciliation, Tuba further added in her statement that she has ‘opted to take Khula [divorce] from the court. In an Instagram statement, the actor shared, “With a very heavy heart, I want to make people aware of a development in my life”.
“My close family and friends are aware that after a separation of 14 months it was evident that there was no hope for reconciliation in sight and I had opted to take Khula from [the] court.”
Her statement further read, “I cannot express how difficult it has been but I trust Allah and His plans. I would appeal to everyone that my decision is respected during these testing times.” A few hours after her official statement, Liaquat tied the knot with an 18-year-old girl.
Tuba shared a picture with her parents on Instagram on Sunday, captioning the photo with a sentimental message showing her appreciation for them in these difficult times.
Have a look at it:
“Zindagi ki karakti dhoop mein ek saaye dar darkht ki tarhan maa baap ki chaaon humein mehfoz rakhti hai,” she wrote. “Meri hayaat ki khushkismati ye hai ke mere maa baap mere sath hain. Allah pak tamam walidein ko sehat de Aameen. Alhamdullilah.”
Her difficult times were immediately assumed to be post-divorce difficulties and her coping with them. However, rather than offering her some support, the netizens lambasted her. Many commented that karma was catching up with her, and reminded her of what she had done to Liaquat’s first wife and his children.
Comments section filled with hate:
The news of Liaquat’s second marriage with Tuba came as a major shock to everyone in 2018. Interestingly, the undisclosed wedding came to light after a copy of his marriage registration certificate got leaked on social media.
The televangelist later confirmed his second marriage in front of the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP). His first wife Syeda Bushra Iqbal recently revealed that he had divorced her over phone call allegedly at the request of Tuba.
Liaquat and his first wife have two kids together. The daughter previously termed Tuba as ‘homewrecker’ and ‘fake’. Is this really karma doing its job?
