Before the ODI World Cup 2023 in India, Mohammad Hafeez, who used to be captain of Pakistan, left the Pakistan Cricket Board’s (PCB) Technical Committee. The committee includes Misbah-ul-Haq, Inzamam-ul-Haq, and Mohammad Hafeez. It works directly for Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chief Zaka Ashraf and makes ideas for how the team can get better.
Thursday, Hafeez announced his decision to resign from the committee via his official X handle. The former cricketer thanked Zaka Ashraf for the opportunity and stated that he would be available in the future should his services be required. Hafeez said: “I decided to leave the Pakistan cricket technical committee. I served as an honorary member. I would like to thank Zaka Ashraf SB for giving me this opportunity. I’m always available whenever Zaka Ashraf SB needs my honest suggestions for Pakistan cricket. My best wishes for Pakistan cricket as always. Pakistan Zindabad”
Hafeez’s decision to quit the committee follows less than two months of service. At the meeting of the PCB, which was led by Zaka Ashraf, he also talked about how the Pakistan Men’s Cricket Team did in the ACC Asia Cup 2023.
The PCB met on Thursday, September 21, to talk about how their team did in the Asia Cup 2023, which just ended. China was knocked out of the event in the Super 4 stage after losing to India and Sri Lanka in a row. Zaka Ashraf set up the meeting with Babar Azam, Shadab Khan, Misbah ul Haq, Mohammad Hafeez, and other coaches from Pakistan.
