The Maharashtra government passed an order to increase Bollywood actor Shahrukh Khan’s security level to the Y+ category.
The police and local government provide security details to some high-risk individuals. The Y+ category is a security detail of 11 personnel, including 2-4 commandos and police personnel.
Shahrukh Khan Gets Death Threats After Jawan Success
According to the police, Shahrukh Khan wrote a letter to the Maharashtra government, informing them he received death threats after his recent successful movies. The Maharashtra government then provided security cover to the popular actor.
Earlier, action hero Salman Khan was provided Y+ cover last year following threats from the Lawrence Bishnoi gang.
Production house Red Chillies Entertainment announced recently, that Shahrukh Khan’s blockbuster movie ‘Jawan’ crossed over a business of almost Rs 1103.27 crore at the box office. Jawan was released globally on September 7 in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu languages.

Filmmaker Sanjay Gupta took to social media to praise ‘Jawan’ and Shahrukh Khan for his hard work and determination to face challenges, including threats from gangsters.
According to the government’s policy, security cover is provided to citizens who face a threat to their lives. In such cases, a person has to pay a fee or deposit a security amount for protection.
