As a result of winning the two-match Test series against Sri Lanka on Thursday in Colombo, Pakistan is currently positioned first in the ICC World Test Championship (WTC) points table for the 2023–25 season.
India is in second place on the points table with 16 points, trailing Pakistan, who has 24 points.
After a convincing win against Sri Lanka in the second Test, Pakistan was able to maintain its top spot. India might have shared the lead with their bitter foe, but a draw in the second Test against the West Indies dropped them.
To balance the difference in the number of matches played, teams are arranged on the table according to the proportion of points they have earned.
For every short throughout a game, teams will lose one championship point.

In December, Pakistan will play the Australians, who are playing England in the fifth Ashes Test.
It should be mentioned that Pakistan trounced Sri Lanka today in Colombo by an inning and 222 runs.
Nauman Ali, a left-arm spinner for Pakistan, caused havoc on the Sri Lankan hitters, returning seven of them to the pavilion.
Following all the criticism, Nauman, 36, returned strongly and destroyed Sri Lanka’s batting order when they trailed by 410 runs.
Naseem Shah finished off the devastation of the Lankan hitters by taking three wickets in the last overs and ensuring that his team exited with a significant victory.
The first innings of Pakistan was declared at 576-5 shortly after Muhammad Rizwan reached his half-century within the first two overs of the fourth day.
Eighth fifty in Test cricket for Rizwan. He acted as Sarfaraz Ahmed‘s concussion replacement. On the next day, the first ball Sarfaraz encountered smacked him in the helmet; he had an unbroken record of 14. He left the field after experiencing head ache.
Salman Agha and Abdullah Shafique both made 132 runs on day three of the third Test, which was played by Pakistan.
