Rizwan Congratulates Sarfaraz on 3,000 Test Runs
Rizwan praised and recognized the 36-year-old’s achievement in being Pakistan’s first wicket-keeper batter to score 3,000 runs.
Muhammad Rizwan mentioned Sarfaraz in his tweet, “One of the finest wicket-keeper batters Pakistan ever produced.”
“Congratulations to Saifi Bhaiyaaaaaaaaaaaaaa on reaching the landmark of 3000 runs as a WK in World Test Cricket for Pakistan. May your cricketing career keep flourishing. One of the finest WK batters Pakistan cricket has produced so far,” he tweeted.

Rizwan’s remarks also put to rest any rumors about the two cricketers not getting along.
Sarfaraz Ahmed reached 3000 runs in Test cricket earlier today during the first innings of the ongoing first Test in a two-match series against Sri Lanka in Galle, scoring a boundary to reach the milestone in 91 innings.
He also became the 20th Pakistani hitter to reach 3000+ runs in the game’s longer format.
Sarfaraz, who made his Test debut against Australia in Hobart in 2010, has 21 fifties and four centuries in his career.

His most recent century came against New Zealand earlier this year when his team needed him the most. Sarfaraz Ahmed’s century helped Pakistan tie the second Test against New Zealand in Karachi.
Sarfaraz Ahmed scored 17 runs off 15 balls in the ongoing Test against Sri Lanka. He was LBW versus Prabath Jayasuriya while attempting a sweep shot.
Pakistan was battling at Tea, behind Sri Lanka by 132-5. Sarfaraz delighted both fans and critics by taking four key catches in the first innings.
Sarfaraz was highly criticized for his performance behind the wickets in Pakistan’s previous Test against New Zealand in Karachi in January of this year. Despite hitting a century to save the second Test, Sarfaraz was still under fire for dropping catches and wasting stump chances.
Fans questioned his selection in the current Test, believing that Mohammad Rizwan was a superior option for wicketkeeping. Sarfaraz, on the other hand, proved those who opposed him wrong.
To respond to his critics, the wicketkeeper took three catches on day one and one on day two.
