Eshal Fayyaz, despite being relatively new to the industry, is often praised for her chic style and acting chops. During a recent television appearance, Eshal Fayyaz opened up about the rape abuse she faced as a child, at the hands of her then stepfather. On Nida Yasir’s show, the actor revealed details of her past in an act of bravery.
The Kaaf Kangana star shared that her biological father had passed away when she was very young which led to her mother remarrying. “When my father died, I was very young. I was around three or four years old when my mother married someone else. After this, when I grew a little older, my step-father at the time tried to rape me”, Fayyaz revealed.
The revelation shocked Yasir, who explained that she had no idea anything like that had happened. “I am so sorry. I promise I had no idea”, the host added. Fayyaz went on to explain how she was young at the time and stayed quiet while the incidents continued to playback in her head.
“I did not have much sense back then. I went up to my mother and told her what happened. This also became the reason for their divorce.” Fayyaz told her mother that he had attempted sexual assault and done so multiple times.
“I told my mother that he tried to rape me,” the Kaaf Kangana star added. “Not once, not twice, not even thrice. When it happened for the fourth time, I had had enough.” Eshal Fayyaz revealed that she told her older sister, after which the two went and spoke to their mother about the rape abuse the stepfather did. “My mother divorced him after this and never got married again.”
