A mother is one who sacrifices her entire life for her children till her death. Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) also said, “Paradise lies under the feet of your mother”. However, there are some children in our crumbling society who trample this paradise with their own hands and leave it to stumble in old age, like this daughter who we are going to talk about.
When mothers accept, love, and show affection to their children, even when they make mistakes or fall short of expectations, this is unconditional love. In other words, it is a form of love with no strings attached. However, when it comes to children, for some, it is conditional. For instance, a ruthless daughter, who looted her own frail mother’s life-long earnings and then kicked her out of the house.
The helpless mother, who was in throbbing pain, told her heartwrenching story at the Sarim Burney Trust in Karachi. The mother said after the death of her husband, she worked hard to raise her children and today they left her helpless.
The mother, who took refuge at the Sarim Burney Trust, said her son had already left her as soon as her husband died. But her daughter lived with her and took care of her needs. She then married her daughter off working very hard work.
The poor mother was saving her hard-earned money which was about Rs7 lacs. It was her life savings and she wanted to perform Hajj and Umrah with this money. However, when her daughter and son-in-law found out about this money, the daughter began persuading her mother to buy a house with the money in which she would stay with her.
Looted & kicked out by cold-blooded daughter
Blinded by love for her child, the single mother relied on her daughter’s words. Little did she know that this daughter would become her enemy. Her daughter and son-in-law first seized the old mother’s money and then kicked her out of the house.
The tragedy of our society is that old people are left by their children for various reasons such as property, sometimes resentment towards daughter-in-law, illness, etc. Some children even consider their parents to be worthless which is sick!
Sadly, a lot of similar incidents surfaced in the recent past. Last year, a video posted by a girl Zoobia Meer surfaced on the Internet. She recorded her brother in a shameless act of brutally beating his mother.
More so, just last month, the police arrested a woman for torturing and beating her mother-in-law in Karachi. The shameless act of brutally beating an elderly woman left us utterly speechless.
