By introducing the “search message by date” option to a select group of beta testers soon, the Meta-owned messenger will make it simpler to find messages shared on the app on a specific date. With the use of a date filter, users can easily search for messages within their discussions, thanks to this new functionality.

The improved search features will make it easier to locate any communication from a particular date or to get crucial details about an earlier incident.

As demonstrated in this screenshot, users can search messages from a certain day by selecting a date from the date picker panel that appears when they click the calendar button, which becomes available after the update. However, the functionality will only be accessible to a select group of beta testers who have the most recent version of WhatsApp Web at first. Over the next few days, more users will be able to access it.

More precisely, the capability will come in handy when searching for non-text messages—voice notes, for example—which are difficult to find since they cannot be searched for—or when users can’t remember how exactly to phrase a text message.
