After a protracted illness, renowned comedian Majid Jahangir has passed away, his family announced on Wednesday.
Majid Jahangir Passed Away In Lahore
According to his son, Fahad Majid, the late, great comedian will be buried in Karachi.
A month ago, the comedian fell from his bed and was hurt. The accident caused a fracture in his spine.
Majid Jahangir, who became well-known for his role in the comedy series Fifty-Fifty, had a respiratory condition that recently got worse.
In November 2020, he was admitted to a hospital in Lahore in critical condition.
The actor was transferred to the intensive care unit (ICU) of a private hospital in Lahore almost five years ago after suffering partial body paralysis.
For his outstanding performance in Fifty Fifty, Jahangir received the Pride of Performance Award, Pakistan’s highest honour.
He spent 22 years working for Pakistan Television Network (PTV) and appeared in four movies.
