Veteran Pakistani actor Sumbul Shahid has passed away after a battle with COVID-19. Shahid is the sister of Bushra Ansari and Asma Abbas who are also actors.
Meanwhile, Shahid was fighting for her life on a ventilator after she recently contracted the deadly coronavirus virus which went bad.
Her siblings had requested their fans and social media followers to make a prayer for their sister’s speedy recovery and health. Moreover, Ansari had posted about Shahid and their mother being sick and asked people to pray for them.
The Zebaish actor Abbas revealed the news of Shahid’s ill-health on her Instagram handle and asked everyone to remember her in their prayers.
Sharing a picture of herself with her elder sister, Abbas said: “Meri piyari baji is on [the] ventilator …please pray for her comeback.” Soon after, many fans of the Nand actor left well-wishes and small prayers in the comments section.

Shahid is also known for Golden Girls, a show that she hosted back in the day. She is also popular for the drama serial, Dolly Ki Ayegi Baraat.
Shahid last appeared in ARY Digital’s masala drama Nand. Actor Asad Siddiqui, who is also Zara Noor Abbas’s husband, took to Instagram stories and revealed the sad news.
Meanwhile, 108 more deaths and 4,198 new positive cases of Coronavirus infection have been reported in the country during the last 24 hours.
According to the fresh statistics issued by the National Command and Operation Centre, 46,467 tests were conducted. Moreover, the positivity ratio remained nine point zero three percent.
