The Gorgeous Hareem Farooq Talking About Body Shaming Is A Message For All Of Us!

The worst thing people in our society can do is to label someone based on their features. “Kalli”, “Moti”, Patli”, “Acne Wali” and what not – these names show how people ignore every other aspect regarding a person’s personality and focus only on what they see on the outside.

Even the strongest people are held back or bullied when they are told by the society that they are not “perfect” in terms of their looks or their physique. What makes someone beautiful and strong is how they ignore the worthless comments and work hard for their dreams. This is exactly what the beautiful Pakistani actress Hareem Farooq did.

Hareem has been a part of Pakistan’s entertainment industry for quite some time now and in a short while, she acquired massive success through her hard work and realistic acting skills. The actress recently produced Janaan and also made her film debut in Mehreen Jabar’s Dobara Phir Se. An actress as talented as Hareem has earned a lot of reputation in this industry, only because she ignored how the society body shamed her previously.

Criticism is part of our lives – the main struggle is how you take it and by Hareem’s recent Instagram post, she took criticism in a very positive and challenging manner.

” For the longest time, I had people telling me that I was ‘too big or too fat to be in the media and especially in front of the camera.’ ”

Some labels are inbred in our society, and even in media and they are just evil. For the longest time I had people telling me i was too big or too fat to be in the media and especially in front of the camera. After being blessed to have worked with some amazing people and receiving immense love from my fans, who judged me more on my talent than my ‘body’, I realised what was really important. that is your health, mind, heart and soul. the rest is all secondary. I believe every secondary thing becomes beautiful once you’ve sorted the primary ones. Today I just want to reach out to all the people, especially women, who are body-shamed by friends, family, teachers, parents and who are struggling to make their bodies a home for themselves. You are beautiful inside out regardless of what the society wants you to be – just like I am! Learn to love and accept yourself, we all have flaws learn to embrace them and make them you’re strength. Don’t let the society label you to their norms. Let your confidence speak for you. So keep your heart in the right place and walk with your head high because you are God’s creation and whatever he creates is simply beautiful! #WashTheLabel #LoveYourself #stopbodyshaming #stopbodyshamingyourself

Ignoring someone’s talent and focusing just on their looks is probably the worst way to talk about someone. As Hareem said, God’s creation are beautiful and that is what we should believe. Self-love is extremely important and it motivates someone to have confidence in their own self, just like Hareem and her faith in herself.
