Global music sensation Zayn Malik and supermodel Gigi Hadid are back together [again] and allegedly starting a family soon. TMZ and Entertainment Tonight broke the news last night that Hadid was pregnant with Malik’s first child.
“Gigi and Zayn are expecting their first child together and the couple is very excited! Gigi has kept the secret close to her family and friends for a while as she’s only a few months along. Once Gigi and Zayn got back together at the end of last year, it was like they never skipped a beat and knew what they had was special. The couple and their families are overjoyed,” a source told Entertainment Tonight.
Neither of them has officially confirmed the pregnancy.
Hadid and Malik started dating in 2015. They split three years later but were reported to have been together again late last year. Neither of them has officially confirmed the pregnancy. The couple has generally eschewed media attention through the years with everything they do. The baby has confirmed that they are back again.
Hadid, recently in an interview, expressed her desire to embrace motherhood. She said that she doesn’t want to do modeling the entire life.
“I think that as I get older… well one day I’ll start a family and I don’t know if I will always be modeling. I love the creative side of fashion, it’s so fulfilling. The people I work with make me so happy, I’m so lucky to be around them. But who knows? Maybe I’ll take up full-time cooking!” she said.
The couple is quite active on social media and they keep fans posted about their personal and professional lives. Hadid, who shared an Instagram photo with Malik last weekend as she celebrated her 25th birthday, is reportedly 20 weeks pregnant.
