Now the actual tech war begins, and Twitter threatens to sue Threads, yes you heard it right.
Twitter is planning to sue Meta Platforms over its new Threads app, news website Semafor has reported. Citing a letter sent to the Facebook parent CEO Mark Zuckerberg by Twitter’s lawyer Alex Spiro.
A few days ago, Meta launched the Threads App which is integrated into Facebook and Instagram.
Up till now, more than 30 million users have signed up to kill Elon Musk’s Twitter.
To save the life of Twitter, Elon Musk decided to sue the Threads app.
Twitter Threatens To Sue Threads App
Twitter has some serious concerns over Meta’s newly launched app, which has engaged in “systematic, willful and unlawful misappropriation of Twitter’s trade secrets and other intellectual property,” Spiro wrote in the letter.
“Twitter intends to strictly enforce its intellectual property rights, and demands that Meta take immediate steps to stop using any Twitter trade secrets or other highly confidential information,” Spiro wrote.
Not only that, Spiro also accused Meta of hiring ex-Twitter employees who had access to Twitter’s trade secrets and other highly confidential information”, the Semafor report that was published on Thursday said.

No One Is Ex-Twitter Employee
“No one on the Threads engineering team is a former Twitter employee — that’s just not a thing,” Meta spokesperson Andy Stone said.
Former senior Twitter employees told Reuters that, “they were not aware of any former staffers working on Threads, nor any senior personnel who landed at Meta at all.
Meanwhile, Twitter owner Musk said, “Competition is fine, cheating is not,” in response to a tweet citing the news.
Ever since Elon Musk took over Twitter, things aren’t going in his way and people were searching for alternatives to Twitter. Looks like Meta just gave them what they wanted.
