The Tiktok trend is really starting to become one of the worst and most disturbing trends to exist to date. From people taking their own lives to cringe-worthy content all has been brought forward to us through the blessings of Tiktok in Pakistan. However, the most latest video that is making rounds and having every Pakistani cringe and furious is seeing a glimpse of the Sindh Assembly being wrapped in the whim of Tiktok too.
Tiktok session in the Sindh Assembly
PTI MPA Dua Bhutto recently got into heaps of trouble for making quite a series of blunders. Initially, the respectable MPA allowed her sister to come to the Sindh Assembly during this ongoing pandemic; especially when the rule is made to make sure no more than 25 people are in the assembly at the same time. However, as disturbing that was the story didn’t end there. No. The beautiful sister also contributed her share by making a Tiktok video and posting it to get viral.
Highly irresponsible behaviour of #Pti mpa #Duabhutto 4 bringing her sister & turning #sindhassembly hall into a film studio for @tiktok_us videos! Violating all sop’s! Only 25% members allowed to attend in this medical emergency & this is what they do! pic.twitter.com/ECopSZQKFU

If we weren’t cringing before because of the use of this application. We surely are cringing now. Is this the picture we want the world to see of us. Is this what we want to make sure that we are portrayed like in the eyes of the public as well as all those who see her. It is highly irresponsible, isn’t it? The discipline and decorum of the place must always be maintained and this video is something totally against it.
Dua Bhutto accepts her blunders
Not only is it sending a poor image, but rather it is also questioning the security and safety of the people. More so, it seems that anyone can walk into the assembly and do basically anything without the premise of being punished or penalized for their actions. Although, just after the video went viral and the netizens started to raise questions, Dua Bhutto has come out and accepted her blunders. However, the statement put forward by Dua Bhutto is still to questionable and people are calling her out on her stance.

A twist in the Twitter debate
What we find a tad bit funny in this bizarre situation is how Sharmeela Farooqi was the one to throw shade on this situation. This led to another debate on Twitter. Because now people think the situation is very much like the kettle calling the pot black. If we think about it, it kind of is. When has PPP’s government not given us something to enjoy. From dear old CM Qaim Ali Shah’s statements to a lot more. Hence, the banter has taken another swift turn. And the comments and tweets are quite heated and hilarious at the same time.

In a nutshell, most people are thinking that maybe it is the incompetence of ministers and MNA’s that is causing Prime Minister Imran Khan to face such harsh criticism. There is no denying that from introducing 19 points of COVID-19 to relatives creating Tiktok videos, the ministers of PTI government are causing Prime Minister Imran Khan a lot of unneeded burdens, provided that there is still so much more to be done for the sake of getting Pakistan back on its footing.
All we can do is hope for the best, and pray that no other such blunders occur from these “highly competent” ministers in the years to come.
