Adil Rashid, an aggressive batsman from England, and Harry Brook, a leg-spinner, will not play in the eighth Pakistan Super League (PSL), which will begin on February 13.

Due to his commitments with the English squad, Rashid, who was selected by Multan Sultans during the draught in December, would be absent from the competition.
The spinner will miss the nation’s largest cricket tournament, therefore on Wednesday, the 2021 champions will select his substitute (today). Brook, the main hitter for the defending champion Lahore Qalandars, won’t be available for the squad this season either.
The PSL 2022 champions’ middle-order batsman amassed 264 runs, including a century and several match-winning cameos for the Qalandars. In his greatest game for the Qalandars, Brook hit a scorching 49-ball 102 against Islamabad United on February 19 at the Gaddafi Stadium.
The Lahore Qalandars will also be without Jordan Cox and Rashid Khan for the first three games.
Lahore Qalandars will receive some partial replacement players for these two players in the upcoming replacement selection, which is scheduled to happen tomorrow. At Islamabad United, partial substitutes will be made for two-time champions Alex Hales, Moeen Ali, Garbaz, and Fazalhaq Farooqui, while partial replacements will be made for the Sultans’ David Miller, Akeal Hussain, and Tim David.
A complete PSl 8 teams squad is announced but due to some unavaibilities of foreign players these changes happen.On the other hand, Peshawar Zalmi will fill in for Mujeeb-ur-Rahman and Rovman Powell in part.
Waninidu Hasaranga, Jason Roy, and Odean Smith’s replacements by Quetta Gladiators will only be partial.
The PSL 8 will begin off on February 13 at the Multan Cricket Stadium with a match between the defending champion Lahore Qalandars and the 2021 champion Multan Sultans following an exciting opening ceremony. the replacement draught for PSL 8, which was set for January 24, has now been moved to January 25 after the announcement of PSL 2023 schedule.
Franchises reportedly requested more time from the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) to make their decisions.
The PCB has also granted teams’ requests to expand the player pool. Franchises will now choose two players from the supplemental category to round out a team of 20 players.
