In an unexpected twist of events, the official first look teaser for Rawalpindi Express – A Shoaib Akhtar Biopic’s new trailer was released in the middle of a legal dispute between Shoaib Akhtar and the film’s producers.

Umair Jaswal, a prominent figure in the world of pop music, was succeeded in the position of the famous star by Mirza Gohar Rasheed.
The preview reveals several dramatic scenes dealing with issues of destitution, hardship, and medical complications. The struggles that Shoaib Akhtar overcame allowed him to become one of the most famous cricket players that Pakistan has ever produced. In his guise of Shoaib Akhtar, Gohar Rasheed appears to have a very menacing appearance.
The movie, which was written by Qaiser Nawaz and directed by Muhammad Faraq Qaiser, was shot at 47 different locations over 68 days. As the teaser is accompanied by a suspenseful soundtrack, one cannot help but get the impression that the “biopic” may merely be a highly exaggerated account of the events.
In addition to Rasheed, the cast includes Faran Tahir, Saleem Mairaj, Raheela Agha, Salman Shahid, Shafqat Cheema, Usman Peerzada, Umer Aalam, Hamza Khawaja, Rabita Ali, Faiza Khan, Omair Rana, Adnan Shah Tipu, Rahim Pardesi, Hammad Siddique, and Baatin Farouqi. Rasheed also plays the title role.
This is particularly noteworthy because Akhtar himself just stated that he had acquired a stay order against the producers of what is ostensibly a film adaptation of his life story. The order puts a stop to the production of the film as well as its distribution until the outcome of the aforementioned legal case can be determined.
He also cautioned that anyone who was participating in the initiative should be aware of the illegality of their activities and the possible damage to their reputation that they may sustain as a result of their participation.
