Several people were stuck inside the Arshi shopping mall when it caught fire on Wednesday evening in Karachi’s Ayesha Manzil area.
Around 5:47 p.m., the fire started in a foam store and quickly spread to nearby stores that sold the same thing.
Chief Fire Officer Ishtiaq Ahmed confirmed what happened and said that five fire trucks were sent to the scene to put out the fire.

Rescue efforts were also started to get people out of the shop that was still on fire.
SSP Central Faisal Abdullah gave more information and said that the cause of the fire is still being looked into.
Initial reports said the fire began in a foam shop and quickly spread to stores nearby, becoming a big disaster.
