Madiha Iftikhar stepped into the glamorous world at the tender age of seventeen years. Very soon, she conquered the silver screen like no other. Personal Life:
Madiha was born on 5th February 1985 in Islamabad. Her parents, Iftikhar Ahmed and Rehana Iftikhar were amongst the veterans in the industry. They used to conduct a program on PTV in the 1990s, called Boltey Hath. The show was based on sign language for the deaf and mute people. Her parents were highly respected in the industry for their commendable work on national TV. Her father passed away in 2022, while her mother is a housewife now.
In 2015, Madiha Iftikhar tied the knot with Shazil Meerza. Her husband does not belong to the TV industry so there is not much known about him. However, Madiha occasionally shares pictures from her private life such as the anniversary celebration of the blissful couple.
Career:
Madiha Iftikhar started her career as a model. Her attractive physical appearance made her bag the best fashion shows, magazine photo shoots, and photographers. Then she started her acting career in 2007 with the drama serial, Sarkar Sahab. And then the rest was history. The audience loved her performances so much that she graced the silver screen like no other. Her drama serial Partition Aik Safar is one of the most expensive and timeless classic plays ever made. That was a breakthrough performance in Madiha’s professional journey. She was at the peak of her career when she got married. Madiha took a break from acting for two or three years. She maintains that at the time of her marriage, she wanted to take a break and focus on settling in her personal life. She wanted to enjoy her marriage and enjoy the perks of being a housewife. However, she claims that artists cannot stay at home for long. Her husband supported her in continuing with her career. Then she made her comeback with the drama serial Mera Haq. Making a comeback though has not been easy for her. Industry dynamics, work methods, and overall environment changed so much that she found it difficult to carve a niche for herself. However, her talent and dedication paved the way for her as she made her mark on the silver screen for the second time in 2018. After one or two projects, she rested again for some years. Then she did a serial in 2021. Since then, Madiha has limited her work quantity to one or two serials in a year. She wants to do work only to the extent that does not disrupt the balance of her life.
Madiha also hosted Ramadan transmission, Raunaq-e-Ramzan on Dawn News in 2013. She has also been the brand ambassador of Olivia Whitening Creme. She has appeared in several advertisement campaigns for the brand.
