Platform X is back online after a global outage, temporarily leaving users unable to view their timelines. Around 4,000 outage reports were recorded on Downdetector, with some accounts displaying empty timelines and a “Welcome to X!” message.

Despite the hiccup, users could still post tweets, leading #TwitterDown to trend. The 45-minute outage comes amid ongoing challenges for X, including an EU investigation under the Digital Service Act, addressing concerns related to illegal content, disinformation, and the platform’s user interface design. No comments have been made by Elon Musk, who acquired X last autumn.
